The Career Tracker data collection is a subset of the Data Warehouse containing the job history of PhD students post-graduation. It also includes dissertation titles, categorizations of employers(institutions) by sector/rank/custom tags, and identification of Fontaine Fellowship recipients.
The collection comes from the School of Arts & Science's web-based database/application of the same name.
ATTENTION: All users of Student Data, whether they write their own queries, or use data or reports extracted by someone else, agree to abide by University policy regarding confidentiality of student records, and by the Family Educational and Right to Privacy Act. Failure to abide by the policies and laws governing student data can result in disciplinary action, including termination.

The Career Tracker collection in the data warehouse (all tables named GRADADM.CT_ ) is refreshed daily at 6:00pm, from the tables in SAS's Career Tracker application. However, the source data itself is not "typically" updated except on these occasions:
- Semester-based inserts of new PhD or EdD graduates.
- Fontaine affiliation designation from the Provost Office.
- Reference data and user access data maintenance by School of Arts & Science.
In which case, the Career Tracker data in the warehouse would only be changed 1-3 times per semester.
CAUTIONARY NOTE: GRADADM.CT_ tables in this collection are not being kept in-synch with the DWADMIN tables loaded nightly from SRS. This is due to SAS's practice of loading the Career Tracker application from SRS only one time after a student graduates. If a PhD graduate's SRS data is updated after that point in time, the change would be seen in the Student collection (for example dwadmin.address), but not in the Career Tracker collection. (gradadm.ct_address).
Technically speaking, this collection is refreshed using a FAST daemon with FAST merge approach.
The diagram illustrates the architecture of the Career Tracker BusinessObjects Universe, and identifies joins. While viewing the diagram, you can also display its table documentation by clicking anywhere in the box. If you need to print the diagram, print it in landscape orientation.
The BusinessObjects Corporate Documents area provides access to pre-defined, prompt-driven reports that you can run to retrieve a standardized perspective on your data
All reports can be found in Public Folders -> Career Tracker and use the "Career Tracker" universe.
They were initially designed to be identical to the reports available in the Career Tracker application.
