The Interfolio Faculty Search (FS) data collection is refreshed on a nightly basis with data from Interfolio. Tables in the Interfolio Faculty Search collection (available in the DWFAC schema in the Data Warehouse) contain records dating from the implementation of Interfolio Faculty Search in July 2019.
The Interfolio BusinessObjects universe provides access to the Faculty Search (FS) and Review, Promotion & Tenure (RPT) tables, and also includes access to HCM_PERSON and common reference tables.
There is no formal training for the Interfolio Faculty Search data collection. You may wish to visit the Interfolio@Penn site for additional information about Interfolio@Penn and related resources.
Those who wish to access the Interfolio data must submit the Faculty Data Warehouse Access Request eForm.
Access to the Interfolio data collection is linked to access to Academic Units in the Human Capital Management (HCM) data collection in the Warehouse. Individuals with access to Academic Units in the HCM collection may view records about Interfolio faculty search (FS) or review/promotion/tenure (RPT) activities related to those same units. Records are secured by organization, using the ORG code related to Workday Academic Unit, which is linked to the Interfolio organizational unit. If those ORG fall within the organizations to which user has been granted access, then s/he can see the row. Select views of vote information and other similarly-secured data require additional administrative-level access. Additional security policies apply to more sensitive data such as Race/Ethnicity and, Military/Disability.
Releasing Data Outside the University
The only two offices that may disclose faculty data outside the University are the Office of the Provost and Institutional Research & Analysis. If you do not work for those offices and you receive a request for data to be sent outside the University, refer the requester to the Office of the Provost.
Releasing Data Within the University
Within the University, faculty data may be disclosed only if it is needed to do the business of the University, and only to those who need to know the information in order to do their jobs. If you are not sure whether to fulfill a request for faculty data, contact the Office of the Provost.
