Today, October 1, 2024, Microsoft formally released Windows 11 2024 Update (also designated as 24H2), which is the third significant upgrade to Windows 11 for Intel and AMD processors. This release includes a series of refinements to the Windows 11 interface, along with support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth LE.
Information Systems & Computing (ISC) supports Windows 11 2024 Update on new systems that ship with it pre-installed. ISC strongly recommends that all other University users considering an upgrade to Windows 11 2024 Update adopt a “wait and see” approach, continuing to use currently supported versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11 for at least two weeks and perhaps longer until the initial bugs and compatibility issues in Windows 11 2024 Update are identified and fixed.
