Penn 2020 National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

The ISC Office of Information Security (OIS) is celebrating the 2020 National Cyber Security Awareness Month this October by offering the following information security awareness and training events for Penn faculty, staff and students.

SANS Cloud Security Architecture and Operations: OIS is bringing SANS institute, the world-renowned information security training institution to deliver a five-day course on Cloud Security Architecture and Operations to Penn IT staff.

The course is delivered virtually on September 28 - October 2nd, 2020.

Free and Legal (Streaming Services): On October 19, 2020, OIS opens a short online questionnaire for Penn students on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). The questionnaire requests that students share their understanding and any experience about the Copyright Act and DMCA.

The first 100 respondents will receive a one-month free subscription to the Disney Bundle streaming service. Make sure to enter your email address at the end of the questionnaire for OIS to email you instructions on the one-month free subscription offer.

To participate, please click on 2020 NCSAM - Penn's Copyright and DMCA Questionnaire.

100-Word Story Contest for Penn's Faculty and Staff:  The Office of Information Security (OIS) encourages Penn's faculty and staff to enter a 100-Word contest by sharing personal and true stories on your experience with phishing, securing your computing devices, or securing personal or university data. We welcome true stories about scams you avoided or fell for, even if  your four year old accidentally hacked your device.

Ten stories will be selected to feature on the OIS website. The ten winners will receive awards ranging from an iPad to gift cards.

Please click on the Office of Information Security 100-Word Contest to submit your story.
